2019年新年のご挨拶/ New year's greeting of 2019

沖縄差別を解消するために沖縄の米軍基地を東京に引き取る行動です。
皆さま、新年を無事に迎えられたと信じて新年の挨拶にしたく思います。

2018年の終わりは辺野古の土砂投入で締めくくられ沖縄差別の解消どころか権力の暴走をまざまざと東京にいながら見せつけられる始末でした。実際に沖縄に住む人々にとってどれだけの衝撃と怒りと失望を与えたことかと自らの非力を恥じるばかりです。
年末年始のテレビ番組で古市何某という人物が「沖縄は全国民にとってプライオリティが低い」と発言したことを知り言論の敗北まで喫してしまいそうな状況でもあります。沖縄人の前で言えないことをテレビカメラの前でなら言えてしまうというリテラシーの欠如がであると同時に、プライオリティが低い土地に基地を置く矛盾というをはからずも露呈していることが二重に情けないです。どちらかというと古市何某の住む世界、米軍基地の沖縄への集中により利益を得ている以上、に近いところにいる私としてはしつこく沖縄差別の解消を言い続けなければならないと思った次第です。

知っている人は知っているニーメラーの詩を紹介します。
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
     Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

彼ら（ナチス）がユダヤ人を襲った時、私は黙っていた。私はユダヤ人ではないからだった。
最後に彼ら（ナチス）が私を襲った時、誰も私を擁護しなかった。

意訳ではないかという指摘と清冽な日本語だというほめ殺しを期待しつつ拙訳を載せました。この詩をご紹介したのはユダヤ人のところを他の誰かに置き換えても成立し得る詩だからです。また、彼ら（ナチス）を誰に置き換えても成立します。沖縄差別を他へ置き換えるのはけしからんという意見もあると思います。また、最後に結局自分可愛さの話がオチになっているという指摘もあることでしょう。
しかし、見ず知らずの人に共感し盟友と思い行動することは非難されることではないと思います。
もしよろしければ、ご自身の立場とできる範囲で沖縄差別の解消のために何かをしてみてください。差別解消の提言として基地の引き取りを論じておりますが、それ以上の沖縄差別解消の手立てがあれば提案をして行動をして欲しいです。もちろんこちらの連絡窓口までコメントを送ってくださって結構です。

今年は来年までまだたっぷり時間があります。諦めずに進んでいきましょう。


Dear All

A happy new year.
On the end of 2018, Japan government started to throw sediment into Henoko coast to construct US base. We aim to solve Okinawa discrimination and have some action to do it. Though we felt our powerlessness seeing this matters. More than we, Okinawa people may be disappointed Yamato who live in rest of Japan except for Okinawa.
On the TV show, Furuichi who is a television character said ”Okinawa matter is not important for Japan people (nation).”
We are disappointed his remark as being beaten speech by him or his followers. Can he say this word in the presence of Okinawa people? He and a part of Japanese people are not literate. If they have any literacy, they can speech it in the presence of Okinawa people, not TV show. Is it true ”Okinawa matter is not important for Japan people (nation).”? If so, we shouldn't keep US base on Okinawa land.
Therefore we continuously have to solve Okinawa discrimination.

We quote a poetry written by Niemoeller (Niemoller) as follows.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
     Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

We think that this poetry is able to be rewritten as Okinawa matter. We understand it is not good to rewrite easily. Someone have idea this poetry shows self-protection in the last.
However, it is ideal for us that someone think frendship for someone, perfect stranger for him/ her.
If you wouldn't mind, please take care Okinawa matter/ discrimination at your site. When you have any idea to solve this, please inform us in ease. We think there are some ideas to solve this, not only returning militaly base of USA in Okinawa to rest of Japan.
